TRIP Online Ordering

(Tuition Reduction Incentive Program)

Only those who have submitted a Registration Form and listed an email address on the form are set up for online ordering (emails are needed to set up a user/password). If you have not registered with TRIP yet, or did not list an email address on your registration form, please do so (registration forms are in the racks by the office). Once set up, you will be able to proceed with online ordering.

Online ordering is for weekly National orders (same deadline applies: Mondays by noon, pick-up on Friday). Cash and Carry (8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday) will still be available through the office only.

Initial Username/Password

I have set up families with an initial username and password. These are meant to be changed to something of your choosing after you first sign in. Please do not forget to do this very important step! Most usernames will be the husbands’ first name and last name (no spaces, all lowercase). If not, then you will receive an email from me alerting you otherwise. If the husband goes by two names (ex: Ben or Benjamin), then be sure to try them both if one does not work the first time. Passwords will be the first four letters of your last name plus your TRIP account number (no spaces, all lowercase).

Please email with any questions.

Signing In to Shop with Scrip

Simply go to and click on the “Sign In” tab at the top right. Type your username and password. You will need to set up some security questions first before being directed to the main page. Once on the main page, click on “Dashboard” at the top right. On the left hand side of the page, you will see “Account Settings”. Please go to the “Profile” and update your personal information if it is not done for you already. Then go to “Security” to change your username and password.

Placing an Order

There are a couple ways you can do this. On the “Dashboard” page, click on “Express Order” (in blue) located under “Family Functions”. From there you can type in what you want. Or, click on the tab “Shop” located at the top right, then select “Express Order”. Note: all of our local businesses are located under “Xtra Stuff”. Go to the “Browse” tab, then “Categories”, the “Xtra Stuff”. Once you are finished ordering, go to your “Cart” at the top right and submit your order. That’s it!  Orders will be processed on Monday and ready to go by Friday, same as before.

Paying for Your Order

You have a couple payment options. The first is to pay by cash or check, which can be submitted via the office from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Be aware that your order will not be released to you until payment is received. So if you have your order listed as going home with your student, it will not be sent home until you have paid for your order.

The second is to pay using GLScrip’s PrestoPay. This option uses the ACH electronic debit process. In other words, payment is debited from your bank account. There is a $0.15 fee per order for using this service. Also, if there are not sufficient funds in your bank account when you use PrestoPay, our TRIP organization will be charged an overdraft fee of $30, which you will be responsible for paying—just like a bounced check. You can find more information on PrestoPay on the “Shop with Scrip” website. Log into your account, clink on your “Dashboard”, and under “Family Functions” you will find “PrestoPay”. Watch the help video and follow the instructions to sign up. You will receive an approval code that needs to be submitted to me and accepted before you can use PrestoPay. Note: It is my responsibility to make sure every family that signs up for PrestoPay is legitimate (not an online criminal), so I will be asking various questions for verification purposes before I approve you.

In Closing

I suggest becoming familiar with the “Shop with Scrip” website. Once you are signed in to your account, you will be able to check your TRIP credit, order history, etc.

As you know, TRIP has kept 1% of all rebates to cover administrative costs. That is why rebates listed on the website were always 1% less on our order forms. The GLScrip software uses a different way to figure administrative costs. Rather than take 1% off of every rebate, 17%-20% of the gross rebate earned on every purchase is taken. Here is how GLScrip explains it to coordinators: “Today, if a rebate is 8%, and you keep 1% (having the remaining 7% for the families), you are in effect keeping 12.5% of the rebate. But, for cards that the rebate is 2% or 3% and you keep 1%, you are effectively keeping 33%-50% of the rebate on those cards” Thus, it would be better to keep a standard 17% - 20% of all rebates. Therefore, our TRIP program has chosen to use the minimum 17% administration fee.
