The athletics program at Oskaloosa Christian School is an important part of our total educational program. Every coach works to create an environment which stresses developing the potential of young athletes within the team context. Our coaches are certified and work diligently to plan well-organized and enjoyable practice and game experiences.
While developing competitive teams is important, the value of athletics at Oskaloosa Christian School is most clearly evident in the relationships and discipleship which takes between coaches and players. Young athletes are able to develop life skills in competition and through experiencing success and failure in sports.
Proper sportsmanship is also very important at our school and our expectation is that participants, coaches, and fans conduct themselves in a God-glorifying manner at all times. The mission of Oskaloosa Christian School is to “assist families in equipping children to be effective disciples of Jesus Chris” and we believe that athletics provides the school with an opportunity to do this.
