Ruth De Bruin is the head teacher of the Kinder Kids program, our unique early childhood program that meets the needs of both pre-K and traditional kindergarten students. She has been working with the young learners in our school since 1990. She graduated from Dordt College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and took further classes in Early Childhood from Morningside College. She previously taught middle school science at Pella Christian Grade School and fourth grade at Oskaloosa Christian. Ruth and her husband, Harold, have four adult children and fourteen grandchildren. Son Rex and wife Rachel live in Ames with their daughters, Natalie and Nora; Joel and wife Hayley and daughters, Kyah, Kahrey, Kynnah, Kwynn, and Kohen farm in rural Oskaloosa. Daughter Rachel, husband Will Grant and children Anna, Cora, Daniel and Jess ranch near Glenrock, Wy. Heather, husband Randall de Boer, and children Willem, Adlih and Hendrick live near Charlottetown, PEI.
