I was raised on a farm outside of Eddyville Iowa and graduated from Eddyville High School. I attended Northeast Missouri State University now known as Truman University and received a bachelor of music education degree with an emphasis in instrumental music. I have taught in Galt, Missouri, Oskaloosa, Iowa, Irwin Kirkman Manilla school district in western Iowa, the Ottumwa Community School District in Ottumwa, William Penn University in Oskaloosa, and Vennard College in University Park Iowa. I have also been a church choir director/worship leader at Central Reformed Church in Oskaloosa, First Reformed Church in Pella, and at Third Reformed Church in Pella.
I have been married to my husband, Morris, for 31 years and we have two sons, Landon and Caleb, a daughter-in-law, Kayla, a granddaughter and will soon be welcoming a grandson.
Morris works as a lab technician for Ajinomoto in Eddyville. I recently retired from the Ottumwa community school district and work part time at the Oskaloosa HyVee store in customer service.
Since my retirement from the Ottumwa school district and my father‘s passing in the fall, we have decided to look for a new church home and so we are between churches at this time.
