Alicia Vander Wal

Alicia Vander Wal began teaching at Oskaloosa Christian in 2020.  She graduated from Dordt College in 2005 with a B.A. degree in Elementary Education and has been teaching for 15 years.  She previously taught at Ripon Christian School in Ripon, CA where she taught 2nd grade, 5th grade, 1st grade, and Resource.  She teaches 4th grade at Oskaloosa Christian and thinks 4th graders are the best!

Alicia is married to Paul, and they have 3 daughters-Reese, Avery, and Scarlett.  They also have a very vocal but loveable miniature schnauzer named Luther.  She loves to spend time with her family, doing yard work, biking, and growing flowers.

Alicia’s Deep Hope for her students is that they would BE BOLD Disciples of Christ.
