Colleen Platt

Colleen received her BA from Dordt (College) University in 2000, as well as an MA from the University of Iowa (2003). She married Scott in 2009, and eventually became a stay-at-home mom and Homeschool mom to their two children for 10 years. Laurel and Nick, are now in 7th and 5th grade respectively at Oskaloosa Christian. They also have an older daughter Melanie (married to Nate), and a grandson named Quinten. They live in University Park and attend Jubilee Family Church where Colleen serves on the Praise Team.
She enjoys hiking, reading, crocheting and crafting, spending time in the kitchen, and watching Iowa Hawkeyes Wrestling with her family. Go Hawks!
Colleen said she loves the caring and supportive atmosphere the staff and families in this school have created, and discovered a love for teaching, especially at the middle school level! She hopes her enthusiasm for learning and the atmosphere of faith will help shape young people who are ready to face the world!
