Dan Carmichael

Hello!  My name is Dan Carmichael and I am married to Laurie.  We live just a couple of blocks from the school so I usually get to walk or ride my bike to work!  We have four kids (who are all married) and we also have 12 grandchildren.

I have always loved playing music of any kind and over the years have self-taught myself how to play almost every instrument that we have in our OSCI band right now.  Even though I worked (and retired from) the insurance industry my entire adult life, my dream – ever since I was in grade school – was to be a band teacher some day and here I [finally] am many years later!  It’s just a lesson for all of us to always remember that our Heavenly Father loves us so much and will be faithful to fulfill the dreams that He puts in our hearts – even if it takes many years, amen?
