Tricia Van Roekel

My name is Tricia Van Roekel, and I am the first-grade teacher at Oskaloosa Christian. I live in Pella with my husband, Gary, and together we’ve been blessed with 10 children and 4 grandchildren.

With 35 years of experience in the classroom, I still find joy and excitement in each new school year—especially working with first graders. I have a deep love for kids and a passion for learning, and I feel incredibly grateful to help first graders grow in confidence, curiosity, and character during such an important year in their development.

Teaching continues to be a calling I cherish, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to invest in the lives of students and help them thrive—both in school and beyond.

My deep hope is that we will speak life as we LOVE God and LOVE people.
