Who am I? Why am I here? These are two questions that people inevitably ask themselves as they try to find their place in this great, big world. At Oskaloosa Christian School, we want to help our students answer those questions in a way that makes sense and fills them with hope for their futures.
Our school theme for 2021-2022 is “Forever God Is Faithful”. God’s faithfulness has been present throughout human history, from His covenant promises for His people throughout the pages of Scripture; to His love and care for His children today; to His future promises of restoration. God’s very character projects perfect faithfulness, and we are to emulate that faithfulness as we seek to bring honor and glory to his name in the way we live our lives.
Simultaneously, we want students to understand that they are children of the Heavenly King. Their identities are not caught up in their gifts and talents, their peers, or their circumstances. Their identities are as image bearers of Jesus Christ, and ‘neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.’ (Romans 8:38, 39, NIV) They can go through life with a deep, abiding hope that they will always be loved by their Heavenly Father, and no one can ever take that away from them.
Please feel free to stop by Oskaloosa Christian School, or contact me via telephone (641-672-2174, ext. 11) or email me @ mitchelld@oskaloosachristian.net
I would love to visit with you and tell you more about this blessed institution, a place where God lives and moves each day and where His presence is abundantly felt and humbly appreciated by students, parents, and staff alike.
In Christ,
